Description

Whipped Feta Turkey Meatballs are tender, juicy turkey meatballs served over a creamy whipped feta spread and finished with fresh herbs, lemon, and a drizzle of olive oil. This Mediterranean-inspired dish is packed with flavor and makes a delicious high-protein lunch or dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 oz feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for whipped feta)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • Lemon wedges, for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, oregano, parsley, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix gently until just combined.
  4. Form the mixture into 16 evenly sized meatballs.
  5. Arrange the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet and lightly brush with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Meanwhile, add feta cheese, Greek yogurt, cream cheese, lemon juice, and olive oil to a food processor.
  8. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  9. Spread the whipped feta onto a serving platter or individual plates.
  10. Place the warm turkey meatballs over the whipped feta.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley, dill, and a drizzle of olive oil.
  12. Serve with lemon wedges.

  • Do not overmix the turkey mixture to keep the meatballs tender.
  • Fresh herbs provide the brightest Mediterranean flavor.
